With the end of the semester (as well as most commencement ceremonies) behind us, things should finally start to slow down a bit for people working in universities and colleges.

There’s no better time for you to think about professional development opportunities. So, here is the selection I’ve put together for you:

  • EduComm Conference 2007 – June 19, 20 & 21 in Anaheim, CA ($545 before June 12)
While mainly targeted to academic computing folks in the past, EduComm will offer this year some presentations about Web 2.0 technologies. Advance registration is open until June 12. You can register online.
  • eduWEB Conference – July 22, 23 & 24 in Baltimore, MD ($450 before May 25)
EduWeb offers a program composed of presentations by higher ed professionals, consultants and vendors. The keynote speech, “Marketing and the Web: Trends and Tribulations in Communication” will be presented by Bob Johnson from Bob Johnson Consulting. Early bird registration is open until May 25. You can register online.
  • HighEdWebDev – October 14, 15, 16 & 17 in Rochester, NY ($429)
Registration is not open yet, but you should definitely consider submitting a proposal before May 31.
