3 suggestions to choose your next conference

New faces, new ideas and interesting discussions: higher ed conferences are a great (but sometimes expensive) way to keep up-to-date with the latest trends in our very dynamic industry.

These 3 conferences have piqued my interest, so I’ve decided to share my notes:

  • Marketing, PR and the Net – CASE: April 14-15, 2005 in Chicago, IL
    Registration by April 7, 2005
Fees: $610, CASE members and $890, nonmembers
Possibility to get feedback from panelists and participants about your college/university website
  • Web Communications and Strategies: July 18 – 20 , 2005 in Salisbury, MD
Registration by May 31, 2005 for early bird rate
    Fees: between $200 and $325
    Attendance limited to 100 participants
  • HigherEdWebDev 05: November 6-9, 2005 in Rochester, NY
    Program not available yet
    Registration starting July 1, 2005
    Fees: info not available yet
Still plenty of time to share your knowledge and submit a proposal

Please note that I’m not associated with any of these conferences. I don’t get free tickets or food in exchange for this post (although flowers would be nice ;-).

All these suggestions are on the East Coast, because it’s where I live and work (and not because I’m biased against lucky people living in very nice places).

If you have any good suggestions for the West Coast, please post a comment below or drop me a line at karine@collegewebeditor.com

Love your blog – enjoy your thoughts on the subject at hand. Might I offer a suggestion for also the TargetX Interactive Recruiting workshops – this is our third year (14th workshop) on all topics about Millennials, the Web, other Internet recruiting tools, copywriting and other very practical tips. Next event will be on May 26 in in Tarrytown, Westchester County, north of NYC. Bob Johnson and Kari Chisolm will be presenting as well. Cost is only $250 and runs only one day – so you can get back to work to putting those great practical tips into practice.

    Keep up the great blog!
