The State of Higher Ed Analytics in a boss-friendly format

My latest University Business column is now available in the September issue as well as online: “The State of Online Analytics in Higher Ed: Survey confirms need for web and social media analytics revolution”

In this column, I’m reporting and commenting the main results of the survey about the state of online analytics in higher education, a survey I conducted last May.

If you’re trying to convince your boss or your team that using Web Analytics should be at the top of your priority list, this University Business column should help.

In this column I also try to explain why I chose to use a benchmarking survey to start the Higher Ed Web Analytics Revolution.

We will launch tomorrow (Sep 9, 2010) the second monthly survey.

Last month, 150 individuals working in colleges, universities and schools in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and a few other countries in the world shared data for 12 web metrics. All the participants received the resulting benchmarking report with averages for each data point sorted by institution size.
