Several weeks ago, I asked if a few of you would blog some of the sessions they plan to attend at HighEdWebDev in Rochester next week (starting Monday, actually) and I’m happy to report that 4 fine higher ed professionals have answered my call.
This year, I’m going to Rochester to present, network, meet potential speakers for Higher Ed Experts’ future webinar series and… blog. The help is definitely welcome :-)
So, let me introduce this year’s HighEdWebDev guest bloggers (in alphabetical order):
Dimitri Glazkov
CTO at Estrada CMS, Dimitri described himself as a “Web standards and semantic markup junkie.†He also organizes BarCamps and spontaneous Microformats sessions.
Martine Lafleur
Director of Electronic Communications, Martine has been managing the HEC Montréal’s website – currently going through a major redesign – since September 2006. She has a master’s in history, but chose to leave behind the history of book censorship in 19th century France to dive into a new time-zone: today and the Internet. Before HEC Montréal, Martine worked as a web content manager in a telecommunications company and as senior consultant for electronic branding at an insurance company.
Seth Meranda
Assistant Director for Interactive Media for the Office of Admissions at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Seth implements online technologies related to undergraduate recruitment, including the Real Nebraska videos. He also serves on a campus-wide developer network charged with integrating future web enhancements for the campus. Seth has recently launched a blog: Interactive Media for Higher Education.
Jonathan Steffens
A native of Silicon Valley, Jonathan serves as the College of Education’s Web Administrator at University of Missouri – Columbia. Currently in his first year in the Higher Education, he has spent 8 years in the field of web development and graphic design.â€
