iTunes U, the Law & the Web, Web Usability: Check out the presentations given at the New Jersey Higher Ed Webmasters Association’s Conference

Only a year after its inception, the New Jersey Higher Education Webmaster Association (NJHEWA) held its first conference on June 7 at Ramapo College.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it. But, I was able to read the minutes of the presentations and watch one of the presentation videos available on the NJHEWA website: “The Web and The Law” by Scott S. Christie, Partner – McCarter/English Attorneys at Law – Newark.

The video file is quite a download at about 250MB, but this is really the next best thing for anybody who couldn’t attend the conference.

Christie gave a very good round-up of the major legal issues on the Web that higher ed web pros can’t afford to ignore. The presentation is focused on NJ law, but I’m pretty sure this would be helpful even if you’re based in another state. Check out the minutes of the presentation to find out if it’s worth downloading and watching the videos.

I didn’t watch the other presentations yet, but you might find them interesting as well:

As I told Stephen Schur, NJHEWA President, these videos look really great. So, kudos to the Ramapo College Web Team for the shooting job and the association’s Secretary Tryon Eggleston from Drew University for the editing work.
