New faces, new ideas and interesting discussions: higher ed conferences are a great (but sometimes expensive) way to keep up-to-date with the latest trends in our very dynamic industry.
These 3 conferences have piqued my interest, so I’ve decided to share my notes:
- Marketing, PR and the Net – CASE: April 14-15, 2005 in Chicago, IL
Registration by April 7, 2005
Fees: $610, CASE members and $890, nonmembers
Possibility to get feedback from panelists and participants about your college/university website - Web Communications and Strategies: July 18 – 20 , 2005 in Salisbury, MD
Registration by May 31, 2005 for early bird rate
Fees: between $200 and $325
Attendance limited to 100 participants - HigherEdWebDev 05: November 6-9, 2005 in Rochester, NY
Program not available yet
Registration starting July 1, 2005
Fees: info not available yet
Still plenty of time to share your knowledge and submit a proposal
Please note that I’m not associated with any of these conferences. I don’t get free tickets or food in exchange for this post (although flowers would be nice ;-).
All these suggestions are on the East Coast, because it’s where I live and work (and not because I’m biased against lucky people living in very nice places).
If you have any good suggestions for the West Coast, please post a comment below or drop me a line at karine@collegewebeditor.com
