9 slidedecks + 1 video from the #eduweb12 conference in Boston #highered

I attended the eduWeb conference earlier this week in Boston. I got a chance to meet many of you, talk to new folks and exchange great ideas.

While I was able to take away a lot, I also had to keep up with work which prevented me from attending some of the sessions that were on my list.

So, big thanks to all the speakers who shared their slides (I wasn’t able to find a few presentations that were on my original list, but I’ll make sure to update this page if I find them online). Whether you attended the conference or not, the following are definitely worth browsing.

This is a 9+1 list because I’m also adding the video that won the conference contest.
Kudos to Francis Rizzo from Hofstra University for putting this little production together between sessions. I don’t know about you, but I see real talent and a sharp eye there. Aren’t we all looking for [more] power at these conferences — and in our industry?

  1. […] Content will be responsive as well: According to Colleen Jones, principal consultant at Content Science, who presented the conference’s closing keynote, “one in five high school students drop a university or college from their consideration list because of a bad content experience”. Website content quality is more important than just the site’s look or feel. Here is her presentation to find out more about what to do to create compelling content for your site. Note that story-telling was another key theme of the conference. This approach has been spreading throughout marketing circles and is naturally hitting higher ed. Here is a link to a great conference all about how to keep students interested through story telling. […]
