December 21st, 2005 by Karine Joly
When I launched collegewebeditor.com last February, my plan was really to blog for Web professionals as well as people in charge of Web marketing, PR or communication. With this specific audience in mind, I’ve written a few posts intended to be shared with executives.
Lately, I’ve realized that several higher ed executives (a few department/service directors and VP’s, for sure) do read this blog.
That’s why I’ve decided to put together this list of the top 10 must-read posts for university/college executives as part of my “Best of 2005″ series:
- How many admission marketing dollars should be spent on the web?
- Your university website needs more than a Content Management System
- Does your college/university website comply with the ADA?
- Top 3 website strategic goals?
- Educate your website stakeholders about the “Net Generation”
- How today’s teens use the Internet, email and instant messaging
- What are high school juniors looking for on a college website? Top 10 most popular activities, Top 5 most valuable info & Top 15 expectations
- Public Relations: Make sure you monitor bloggers posting about your university
- When a Dean blogs for her students, faculty, staff and alums
- How to educate your director, VP or president about Podcasting
If you are one of these executives, don’t forget to take my 2005 readers’ survey. I’d like to get your opinion about the blog and how I can better address your information needs in 2006.
